Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Monday conducted another operation against illegal land use and sealed two markets here on Chakra Road.
According to official spokesman, Hafiz Mohammad Irfan, RDA took action against illegal/unauthorised markets in the commercial area of Chakra Road and sealed two markets having 15 shops owned by Abdur Rehman and Ch Jehangir. RDA’s Building Control is continuously conducting operations against illegal and unauthorised shops, building constructions, and encroachments within the controlled area of RDA in Rawalpindi city. Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate, Building Control's staff including Superintendent Nadeem Jamal, Building inspector Kamran Shahzad and Building Surveyor Aamir Malik with the assistance of Rawalpindi Police from the concerned police station carried out an operation at Chakra Road.
Commissioner Rawalpindi Division/Director General RDA Azmat Mahmud has directed the building control section to take strict action against illegal/unauthorised constructions, commercial activities and encroachments without any fear or favour.
