MARDAN: Provincial Minister for Education, Energy and Power Muhammad Atif has said that work on 356 micro hydropower projects was in progress and it would ensure uninterrupted power supply to people in various parts of the province.
He expressed these views while laying foundation stone for a 30 kilowatts power project at Saribahlol in Mardan.
Atif Khan said the
project would cost Rs35 million and would benefit up to 30 houses.
The minister said that all the 350 power projects would enable about 30 million households to have uninterrupted power supply.
“The incumbent provincial government during the last three and a half years has started work on power projects producing 1200 MW electricity,” he added.
Atif Khan hoped that
during the next two
years, there would be no shortfall of electricity in the province.
