International wind energy summit on Nov 3
An ‘International Summit on Wind Energy in Pakistan’ will be held on November 3 in Karachi.
Naeem Qureshi, chairman of the organising committee, talking to media persons in Karachi, said on Saturday that objective of the summit was to provide knowledge and awareness, networking and research and Development prospects, and opportunities exclusively designed for wind energy.
Energy Update, in collaboration with the World Wind Energy Association, Pak-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sindh Energy Department, Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB), Sindh Board of Investment, Pakistan Wind Energy Association and others, is organising the event, which will offer an interactive discussion, enabling local and international energy experts, high government officials, energy companies, regulators, power producers, academia to talk on latest advancements being adopted and utilised worldwide, he added.
Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah will be the chief guest. Muhammad Younus Dagha, federal secretary ministry of water and power, Amjad Ali Awan, CEO Alternative Energy Development Board, Agha Wasif Abbas, Secretary Sindh Energy Department, Dr Mirza Ikhtiar Baig and others will make speeches.
