PAKPATTAN: A married woman was kidnapped on Wednesday. Reportedly, accused Muhammad Zahid and his accomplices entered the house of Mian Khan of Chak 63/D and abducted his wife. Police have registered a case.
MAN ABDUCTED: A man was abducted on suspicion of having illicit ties with a woman on Wednesday.
Reportedly, Rab Nawaz and his accomplices were entered the house of Riaz of Kalyana and kidnapped him.
Police have registered a case.
VALUABLES TAKEN AWAY: Three people were robbed of cash and other valuables on Wednesday.
Bandits barged in to the house of Ali Sher of Chak 85/EB and took away cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 480,000.
Muhammad Aamar of Chak 95/D was going to fields when five gunmen snatched cash and a cellphone from him.
Thieves stole a water pump and construction material worth Rs 30,000 from the house of Muhammad Latif of Pikka Sedhar.
Police have registered cases.
FAKE CHEQUE CASES: Police booked two people on the charges of issuing fake cheque.
Accused Rana Muhammad Shakeel had taken Rs 107,000 loan from Muhammad Akram of grain market and gave him a cheque that bounced.
Accused Rizwan Iqbal had bought a cell phone worth Rs 40,180 from Muhammad Imran of Arifwala and gave him a cheque that was dishonoured.
Police have registered cases.
HELD FOR SELLING PETROL: Two shopkeepers were arrested for selling petrol illegally on Wednesday.
The Civil Defence Officer of district Pakpattan found shopkeepers Muhammad Jamal and Gulzar of Malka Hans selling petrol illegally. On the report of the Civil defence officer the police arrested the accused.
SQUATTER BOOKED: TWA Pakpattan Encroachment Inspector Muhammad Ayyub Sabar on a tip-off inspected the Sahiwal Road, Pakpattan and found a building a shop on state land.
Reportedly, accused Muhammad Rasheed exchanged harsh words with the inspector when he stopped him from building the shop.
Police have registered a case.

Reportedly, accused Khalil tried to rape the daughter of Shgiftta Bibi and fled when she raised a hue and cry.

BOOTLEGGER HELD: Police Wednesday arrested a bootlegger and recovered liquor from his possession.
Police arrested accused Sajjad of Arifwala and recovered 7 litre liquor, accused Azhar Hussain of Chak 6/SP with a pistol, and accused Shahzad Ali of Chak 16/SP with a pistol.
