Food outlets sealed, fined

LAHORE

Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed several food outlets and manufacturers while fine was also imposed on many for violating food laws here Wednesday.

Officials said PFA teams imposed fine on Ghousia Milk Shop in Liaqatabad for selling rotten products, fine was also imposed on Harmain Khajoor House, Shafique Khajoor House and Noor Madina in Data Town and Shalimar Town due to presence of insects and selling uncovered products. PFA team sealed storage facility of Punjab Ice Cream and Dry Fruits and Date Fast restaurant on The Mall for violation of various SOPs.

PFA team of Ravi Town sealed the factory of Irfan Achar in Mochi Gate while team of Aziz Bhatti and Wagah Town sealed Fine Pizza. The team also sealed Cakes and Bakes, Naqeebia and Data Ali Hajveri Naan shops for different violations.

Team of Nishtar Town sealed Sohail Foods for using rancid oil and other violations. The team also destroyed 100 litre used oil and seized 20,000 packets of finished products.
