Two mourners injured in sectarian attack in Karachi
KARACHI: Two mourners were wounded in what appeared to be a sectarian attack in Gulshan-e-Iqbal late on Tuesday night, police said.
The victims were in a car when one of four attackers riding two motorcycles fired gunshots at them from the passenger’s side in Block 1 of Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The terrorists then escaped from the scene.
Police attended the scene and collected three empties of a 9mm pistol.The injured men, whose identities were not immediately released, were taken to a private hospital, where the condition of one of them was stated to be critical.
The attack occurred a day after a cracker blast that killed a teenage boy and wounded 20 others, mostly women and children, who were attending a majlis at Dar-e-Abbas Imambargah in the FC Area, Liaquatabad
