PHC summons PA for not paying Shaheed package to soldier’s family
PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has summoned the political agent of Mohmand Agency for non-compliance with court order about payment of Shaheed package to the heirs of a slain soldier. A two-member bench comprising Justice Roohul Amin Khan and Justice Syed Afsar Shah summoned the official. He was directed to explain why Shaheed package had not been given to the heirs of Havaldar Gulzar Ali. In the order, the bench stated that despite clear directions of the court, the respondents, particularly Mohmand Agency political agent was delaying the matter and avoiding to extend Shaheed package to the bereaved amily. “The salary for 16 months and scholarship for his children are pending. The one kanal plot of land has not been allotted to his heirs, which is part of Shaheed package,” the order stated.
