Peshawar corps commander visits troops deployed for Muharram
HANGU: Corps Commander Peshawar Lt-Gen Hidayatur Rehman visited the troops deployed in the sensitive areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) for Muharram and lauded their state of preparedness, professionalism and devotion to duty. A press release issued here by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the corps commander in his daylong visit interacted with the troops, local elders and district administration of Hangu and Dera Ismail Khan. Earlier, on his arrival at Hangu and Dera Ismail Khan, the corps commander was given detailed briefing on the prevailing security situation and arrangement made for peaceful observance of Muharram.
Inspector General Frontier Corps Major General Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood and General Officer Commanding 9-Division Major General Khalid Javed briefed the corps commander. The corps commander expressed satisfaction at the state of preparedness of the troops and urged them to exercise strict surveillance and vigilance.
