Bilawal wants PPP to prepare for elections 2018

Says struggle launched by Bhuttos for democracy continuing

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has asked PPP new organizations to prepare for the general elections 2018 with full enthusiasm as the PPP has to win these elections with the support of people to form the government and implement its pro-people and pro-democracy policies.

A Bilawal House Media Cell statement issued here on Sunday said Bilawal was talking to the Coordination Committee of the PPP Balochistan, who called on him at the Bilawal House on Sunday and submitted its recommendations for the party organizations at the provincial, divisional and district levels in Balochistan.

The Coordination Committee members included Sardar Fateh Muhammad Hasni, Senator Sabir Baloch, Haji Ali Madad Jatak, Sardar Sirbuland Khan and Aijaz Baloch. PPP Women Wing President MNA Faryal Talpur, former Sindh CM Qaim Ali Shah, PPP Central Information Secretary Qamar Zaman Kaira and Political Secretary to PPP Chairman Jameel Soomro were present in the meeting.

Bilawal appreciated the hard work the committee did to reach out to party workers in every district of Balochistan and seek their opinion about the new organizations.

In another meeting attended by Qaim Ali Shah, NA Opposition Leader Khursheed Shah, Senior Sindh Minister Nisar Khuhro, Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani, Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah, Provincial Ministers Jam Mehtab Daher and Nasir Shah, Advisor to Sindh CM Maula Bux Chandio, Sindh PPP Youth Wing President Senator Aajiz Dhamrah, Peoples Students Federation President Sohrab Marri and Sindh PPP Women Wing President MNA Shagufta Jumani, Bilawal said the struggle launched by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto for the cause of democracy was continuing and “we shall strive to strengthen the democratic system put into place by our party founders with so many sacrifices”.

He pointed out that dictatorial forces always tried to weaken democracy, but the PPP and other true democratic and progressive political parties would jointly foil such designs with the support of the masses.The PPP leaders briefed Bilawal on preparations for a public meeting to be held on the martyrdom anniversary of ZAB at Garhi Khuda Bux.
