Around 10,000 Pakistani citizens are stuck in Saudi Arabia. These people are mostly workers of construction companies which have been severely affected by the decline in oil prices. Although our prime minister has announced a compensation of Rs50,000 to the affected families, the payment cannot be guaranteed.
It is an open secret how hard these poor people try to settle in countries like the UAE and Saudi Arabia in search of decent jobs. They put everything at risk and leave their beloved ones. The authorities are requested to take steps to bring these poor stranded people back home.
