The US Senate is going to label Pakistan a ‘sponsor of terrorism’. While putting the burden of terrorism solely on Pakistan, the US is forgetting that Pakistan was one of the few that formed an alliance with it against the ‘war on terror’. Too much has been done to isolate Pakistan on a global level.
The US needs to realise that Pakistan is in fact a victim of terrorism. For quite some time now, Pakistan has been caught between confronting the militants and dealing with Indian intervention in Balochistan. It is high time the Pakistani nation raised its voice against such labelling and recorded its protest on an international level.
