The date 9/11 led to 2977 people killed. Undoubtedly, this one incident changed the course of world history and caused the deaths of two million innocent people in the consequent wars. The US has played a key role in these wars. Pakistan should have not participated in the war on terror in the first place; we have lost more than 60,000 lives – and the numbers are still increasing.
The ultimate losers in wars are civilians who are non-combatants. Our participation in the war on terror haunts every citizen, and it will take us a long time to come of this quagmire.
