Mazari moves court against minister for calling her tractor trolly

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) central information secretary Dr Shireen Mazari here Thursday filed a petition before the Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking disqualification of Federal Minister for Defense & Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif for using unethical language against her.

Through Barrister Shoaib Razzaq, Dr Mazari contended that Khawaja Asif during National Assembly session of June 8 used unethical language against her. Petitioner has cited Ministry of Law & Justice, speaker NA, federal minister for parliamentary affairs and Khawaja Asif as respondents.

While addressing Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Khawaja Asif said ‘Aeh Tractor Trolly Noon Chup Kerao’ (Mr Speaker get this tractor trolly quite), the petitioner mentioned in the petition.

Petitioner said that these words went on-air through television and these could be heard on social media as well. Petitioner has requested the court to direct speaker NA to forward the case of Khawaja Asif to Election Commission of Pakistan for his disqualification.  The petition is yet to be fixed for hearing.
