KARACHI: According to opinion polls conducted by two independent survey companies, the PML-N’s Ayaz Sadiq is ahead of the PTI’s Aleem Khan. Similarly, the PML-N candidates are ahead of their rivals in NA-125 (Lahore) and NA-154 (Lodhran).
The PTI will give the PML-N tough time but the survey reports indicate that the PML-N will win in these three constituencies. Internationally acclaimed Gallup Pakistan and Pulse Consultant carried out the surveys sampling about 800 people from each constituency from September 6 to October 7.
Respondents in the three constituencies were asked which party they would vote for in the by-polls.
In the recent survey of Gallup Pakistan, 46 percent people in the NA-122 replied in favour of PML-N and 37 percent PTI. In the survey in September, 51 percent were for the PML-N and 36 percent PTI.
According to Pulse, 52 percent people were for the PML-N and 36 percent for PTI recently while in September 57 percent were for the PML-N and 36 percent for the PTI.
The surveys show that PTI has picked up a bit but the PML-N still dominates the voters.
In the NA-125, Gallup reported 58 percent people are for the PML-N and 29 percent for the PTI. According to Pulse, 58 percent were for the PML-N and 34 percent for the PTI.
