Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Monday met Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan at the Chief Minister House.
As per a statement issued on Monday, Rana Mashhood was briefed about the model of the NJV Akhuwat Endowment Fund, working under the public-private partnership programme.
The chief minister
said the Endowment Fund model had been adopted by his provincial government to restore the Government NJV School in Karachi to its original and historical status.
For the purpose, the Sindh government in the current year has given Rs 300 million, while he would also issue another Rs 100 million the next year, the statement read.
“More funding will be made for restoration of the NJV School in future years,” it read.
A ceremony to sign memorandum of understanding was also held at CM House between the Sindh education department and the Akhuwat Foundation.
The Sindh chief minister and the Punjab education minister witnessed the MoU’s signing by the Sindh government’s secretary education, Fazllullah Pechuho, Dr Amjad Saqib of the Akhuwat Foundation.
