Celebrates Eid with troops in Khyber Agency

PESHAWAR: The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif, has said the nation is united with the armed forces in the war against terrorism.
The army chief offered the Eid prayers with troops in forward locations in the Khyber Agency and exchanged Eid greetings with them. According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Raheel commended every soldier for spending their Eid in the line of duty for a greater cause of defence of the motherland.
The COAS was briefed by the operation commander on the ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb. He expressed his satisfaction over achievements of the operation so far.
Appreciating the troops’ morale, the COAS lauded their achievements in the operation. He said with the entire nation standing behind the armed forces in their fight against terrorism, Pakistan is bound to defeat all the internal and external perpetrators of terrorism.
The COAS emphasised the need to work at all levels on preventing terrorists from establishing bases across the border and infiltrating into Pakistan.
On his arrival in the Khyber Agency earlier, the army chief was received by Corps Commander, Peshawar, Lieutenant General Hidayatur Rehman.
