MANSEHRA: The police on Wednesday arrested 21 people on the charges of creating law and order situation in Oghi tehsil in the district.
It was learnt that Assistant Commissioner Altaf Hussain and other officials went to Darra Shyna area in Oghi to execute a water supply scheme on the order of a local court, but the local people, including women, stopped them from doing so. It may be mentioned that Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Ibrar Tanoli alias Iqbal had sanctioned Rs10 million for the water supply scheme.
However, people in Chunjli Miangan, Phal, Dogha, Davil Muee had moved a local court against the execution of the project as they had some reservations. But the court ordered the tehsil administration and police to ensure execution of the scheme.
