Quaideen to recognise services of QAU employees

Islamabad: Quaid-i-Azam University Alumni Association also known as Quaideen has greeted Dr Waseem Ahmed, Dean Faculty of Biological Sciences, QAU, and Dr Bushra Mirza for being nominated for civil awards of ‘Hilal-i-Imtiaz’ and ‘Tamgha-i-Imtiaz’ respectively for their contribution in the field of biochemistry.

‘Hilal-I-Imtiaz’ is the second highest civilian award and honuor by the Government of Pakistan.

The investiture ceremony of these awards will take place on Pakistan Day, March 23, 2017.

Terming announcement of these two awards on the eve of golden jubilee celebrations of QAU a great recognition of dedicated contribution of QAU faculty, Murtaza Noor, Secretary General of the Alumnae, said that the faculty and employees of Quaid-i-Azam are real backbone of this highest seat of learning and research in the country. He said that the old QAU students feel real proud for QAU faculty for their devotion, commitment and valuable contribution.

To show real appreciation and recognition of the services of QAU, he demanded announcement of a special financial package on the occasion of 50th year celebrations of QAU so that this cash-starved top university of Pakistan may meet its growing requirements.

Noor also announced to organise a special event to recognise the services of QAU employees during first week of September.
