Girls shine in BZU BA/BSC examinations

MULTAN: The Bahauddin Zakariya University announced the results of BA/BSc annual examinations 2016 in a function here on Thursday.
The girl students clinched eight out of the top 10 positions in the BA/BSC examinations. Bahauddin Zakariya University Urdu Department Head Prof Dr Robina Tareen chaired the result declaration ceremony while Registrar Prof Dr Farooq Ahmad was the chief guest. BZU Controller Examinations Prof Dr Muhammad Mutahir Iqbal announced the result. Total 46,294 candidates appeared in the examinations of whom 16,971 were declared successful with pass percentage of 36.66.
As many as 16,731 candidates appeared in the BSc examinations of whom 8,478 were declared successful with pass percentage of 50.67.
FIRST FIVE POSITIONS IN BSC: Mehwish Naeem (Roll No 42634) of the Multan City College of Science and Commerce stood first with 707 marks while Hafsa Naeem (Roll No 42759) of the Punjab College stood second with 697 marks and Hafsa Irshad (Roll No 38287) of the Burewala Government College for Women stood third with 692 marks. Chaman Saeed (Roll No 42758) of the Multan Punjab College stood fourth with 689 marks. Arooba Zafar (Roll No 41877) of the Sahiwal Punjab College stood fifth with 672 marks.
FIRST FIVE POSITIONS IN BA: Rahat Hameed (Roll No 1535) of the Jahania Government College for Women stood first with 626 marks, Mubashir Hassan (Roll No 23423) stood second with 620 marks, Fatima Akbar (Roll No 1830) of the Kot Addu Government College for Women stood third with 616 marks and Anees Sadiq, a private student, (Roll No 8169) stood fourth with 614 marks. Hafiza Shama Khurshid (Roll No 5222) of the Multan Government College for Women and Zara Suleman, a private student, (Roll No 19290) shared the fifth position with 610 marks.
