Dr Asad completes postdoctorate
Islamabad: Dr Asad Abbas Rizvi, assistant professor at the Department of Education, International Islamic University, has completed his post-doctorate from Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto, Canada, says a press release.
Dr Rizvi was awarded post-doc fellowship by Higher Education Commission (HEC) in 2015. Dr. Rizvi has completed his work under the guidance of world renowned scholar on cultural diversity Professor Dr. Reva Joshee, director of Centre for Leadership and Diversity Department of Higher and Adult Education, University of Toronto.
The renowned educationist has also developed a framework for universities that focuses on cultural diversity. He has also carried out semiotic analysis of nine frameworks of culturally diverse universities.
He also emphasised that HEC, like other frameworks, should also develop a cultural diversity framework for universities which may help in producing culturally diverse graduates.
