Five ordinances, four bills in PA

LAHORE

The Treasury laid five ordinances and introduced four bills during the Punjab Assembly session on Wednesday.

The ordinances, laid by Law Minister Rana Sana Ullah, are: The Provincial Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Ordinance 2016, the Punjab Agriculture, Food and Drug Authority (Amendment) Ordinance 2016, the Punjab Restriction on Employment of Children Ordinance 2016, the Provincial Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Ordinance and Punjab Local Government (Third Amendment) Ordinance 2016. 

The bills introduced in the PA are: the Infrastructure Development Authority of the Punjab (Amendment) Bill 2016, the Parks and Horticulture Authority (Amendment) Bill 2016, the University of Home Economics Lahore 2016, the Provincial Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill 2016.

Meanwhile, a privilege motion moved by PML-N woman MPA Madiha Rana was referred to the Privilege Committee by the Speaker.

The woman MPA in the privilege motion expressed serious anger over the attitude of an SHO of Faislabad, Rana Ghaffar, who allegedly used objectionable language before her when she visited the police station over an issue.

The female legislator stated that the said SHO was calling her his sister but using such a dirty language which was shameful. She also demanded mental checkup of the SHO.
