Minor girl dies in accident

PAKPATTAN: A minor girl died in an accident here on Tuesday.

Rustam Ali of Chak 29-KB along with his wife Farzana and minor daughter was on his way to the RHC Qaboola Town on a rickshaw for medical check-up of her daughter when suddenly minor girl fell on the road accidentally. As a result, she died instantly.

VALUABLES LOOTED: Four dacoity incidents were reported here on Tuesday.

Eight dacoits entered the house of Kaneez Bibi at Chak 92-D and looted 14-tola gold ornaments and cash. Muhammad Mateen of O Block was on his way home when two dacoits snatched cash and cell phones from him. Two thieves broke into the cattle farm of Muhammad Abbas at Chak Billi Dilawar and stole valuables. Thieves broke into the Dera of Munir Ahmad at Chak 19-SP and stole a bike. Police have registered cases.

RAPE BID FOILED: A rape bid was foiled here on Tuesday.

Two accused including Muhammad Imran entered the house of Ghulam Nabi at Chak 52-EB, dragged her daughter into a room, and accused Imran allegedly tried to rape her. On her hue and cry, the accused fled. Police have registered a case.

MINOR GIRL ABDUCTED: A four-year-old girl was abducted from Chak 17/SP on Tuesday.

Arooj Fatima, daughter of Allah Ditta, was on her way to a market when some unidentified accused abducted her. Police have registered a case.

5 HELD WITH WINE: Police on Tuesday arrested five bootleggers and recovered wine from them in separate incidents here.

The police arrested Amjad Ali with 10 litres wine, Rustam Ali with 10 litres wine, Imran with 10 litres wine, Muhammad Aslam with eight litres wine and Muhammad Iqbal with 170 grams charas. The police have registered cases.

FAKE CHEQUE: Police on Tuesday booked a fraudster here.

Accused Naveed gave a fake cheque of Rs 2 million to Rafiq of Arifwala, which was bounced by the concerned bank.
