IGP proposes transfers of senior officers

The Sindh police chief, taking into consideration the current political and security scenario, has requested the government to approve changes on senior positions of the police force.

As per details, Sindh IGP A D Khowaja has recommended that Additonal IG Khadim Hussain Bhatti, currently posted as Additional IG Traffic, be transferred as Additional IG Research, Development and Inspection against an existing vacancy.

The IGP has also proposed that DIG Ghulam Sarwar Jamali, posted as DIG Administration Karachi, be transferred as DIG Crime Branch, and DIG South Munir Ahmed Shaikh be appointed as DIG Administration Karachi.

Similarly, it has been proposed that DIG Jamil Ahmed, who is currently posted as DIG Traffic Hyderabad, be transferred as DIG Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) Karachi, and the incumbent DIG CIA Sultan Ali Khowaja be appointed as DIG Information Technology, Sindh against an existing vacancy.

The IGP has also recommended that DIG Azad Khan, who is awaiting posting, be appointed as DIG South Range, Karachi.

IGP Khowaja has requested the government that the necessary notification in this respect be issued at the earliest, and sources said an approval was likely in a day or two.
