Altaf Hussain’s anti-Pakistan tirade protested

PESHWAR: The activists of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) youth wing Peshawar chapter at a protest rally on Tuesday asked the government to seek extradition of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain to Pakistan for his trial under article 6.

The protesters were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans ‘down with Altaf Hussain and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’ and long live Pakistan. The protesters gathered outside the Peshawar Press Club to stage the protest.

Hafiz Hameedullah, president of JI district youth wing, Farooq Khan Khalil, JI town-III president, Siddiq Paracha, general secretary and others were leading the protesters. The protesters also tore apart the portraits of MQM chief and chanted slogans against him.

The speakers condemned the anti-state remarks of the MQM chief and termed it a bid to harm the national solidarity and integrity of Pakistan. They added that any patriot person cannot tolerate anti-state statements, saying the MQM chief remarks had hurt the feelings of the people.

They asked the government to demand extradition of the MQM chief to Pakistan.Earlier, activists of People’s Youth Organisation also staged a demonstration to protest MQM chief’s anti-Pakistan remarks.
