Karachi
In a stern condemnation of the violence that erupted in the city following Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief’s speech on Monday, the fiery Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) chairman, Mustafa Kamal, termed the MQM chief a ‘disgrace’ for the entire Urdu-speaking community.
Speaking at a press conference at PSP office, the MQM-dissident refused to address Altaf Hussain respectably and instead called him by his name, adding, that it was owing to his flawed policies that the MQM lost the nation’s trust.
He said it was the darkest day in the history of the country, and a test for the media fraternity who should now clearly be able to differentiate between its supporters and oppressors.
Referring to MQM’s hunger strike camp, set up outside the local press club since the past five days, Kamal observed that he had absolutely no doubts over all Hussain’s speeches being against the state, and in favour of the premier Indian intelligence agency - RAW.
Further expressing his anger, the PSP chief said the incident was unacceptable and unfortunate.
“The MQM has lost its once-dominant support from the city. Everything that we had been saying since March 3 has been proved right.”
The PSP chief further claimed that, “Hussain had once said that had RAW supported him in reality, there would not have been any Rangers of armed forces in Pakistan. He had also openly threatened to kill DG Rangers.”
