Display of arms banned in Sindh for two months

The home department has imposed Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to ban the display of arms by private security guards and citizens throughout the province.
Under the ban, which will be effective for 60 days, the following acts by private security guards and citizens will not be allowed:
Guards wearing civil clothes except that by personnel of law enforcement agencies; security guards wearing uniforms having resemblance with uniforms of police and other law-enforcement agencies; private vehicles having resemblance with vehicles of police and other law enforcement agencies; private vehicles with mounted police lights; private vehicles with tinted glasses, un-authorised blue lights and fancy number plates; and private vehicles having police sirens and hooters.
