Punjab CM reciprocates protocol to visiting Chinese delegation
ISLAMABAD: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif as a reciprocal arrangement has given a head of state protocol to the visiting Chinese delegation, which arrived here to review and discuss energy related projects.
China National Energy Administration's Vice Administrator Li Fanrog, along with high powered delegation, arrived here at Lahore. Four federal ministers, Secretary to Prime Minister Fawad Hasan Fawad, Punjab cheif secretary, inspector general of Punjab Police and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif were all present in the dinner banquet hosted in honour of the visiting Chinese delegation at Lahore. The unprecedented and unusual head of state like protocol wondered the Chinese delegation.
It's pertinent to mention here that CM Shahbaz, who recently did a six day visit to China, had enjoyed a head of state like protocol in China's history. CM Shahbaz as reciprocation gave Chinese the same treatment, protocol and rosy welcome which he availed during his visit. Fanrog also admitted in a dinner as Punjab Speed replaced the Chinese Shenjen Speed.
A special cultural show was organised in honour of the delegation. Fanrog said he felt much happy by coming in Lahore. He said such respect and protocol he never ever enjoyed in world which he was given in Lahore.
The Punjab CM himself presided over the meeting to finalise arrangements pertaining to welcome and head of state protocol to the visiting Chinese delegation. Later, Punjab CS Zahid Saeed held series of meetings with the concerned to make sure Chinese unprecedented protocol.
Federal ministers Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Khwaja Asif and others participated and remained with the Chinese delegation. According to sources, the visiting Chinese delegation will on Thursday (today) visit Sahiwal and other energy related projects in South Punjab. Li Fanrog thanked CM Shahbaz for protocol and treatments for them.
