Spain envoy briefed on IDPs return steps
PESHAWAR: Ambassador of Spain to Pakistan, Carlos Cesar Morales Sanchez, called on Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra here on Friday.
The envoy remained with the governor for some time and discussed matters of mutual interest with special reference to the situation in the region, says a handout. The governor highlighted the steps underway for ensuring sustainable peace and stability particularly in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata).
The governor pointed out that government was taking the respective people along in all its measures for ensuring better future for them. Talking on various points, the governor apprised the ambassador about the steps of the government to ensure the dignified return and rehabilitation of the displaced persons in Fata.
Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said socio-economic uplift of the people of Fata would continue to remain a top priority with special focus on improvement and provision of better health and educational facilities to the tribesmen.
