Air University students get laptops

A ceremony was held at Air University main campus to award laptops to postgraduate students under the Prime Minister National Laptop Scheme in collaboration with Higher Education Commission (HEC), says a press release.

Chief guest, Director Quality Air Commodore (r) Abdul Wahab Motla in his address to audience stated that the scheme was a unique and helpful for students to equip them with modern gadgets. He appreciated the government for launching such a mega initiative to invest in the future throughout the country putting aside the political gains.

He stressed on students who received laptops with internet device to use the gadgets for studies and particularly in academic research. He further added that Air University is already enriched with modern technologies, state of the art laboratories and seasoned academicians, while this initiative would surely add more values in promotion of quality education at AU. He felicitated the students for nomination in the scheme on merit.

On the occasion Director ORIC Air Commodore (r) Afzaal Ahmed Khan said that this was a positive step of government and HEC to facilitate the students with modern technology. Chair Department of Physics at AU, Dr. Muhammad Atif also expressed his gratitude towards this useful scheme and he stressed on students to take full advantage of this valuable drive during studies by conducting advance research which would benefit the Air University and country at large.
