Two men commit suicide

A resident medical officer (RMO) and a private security guard ‘committed suicides’ in two different places on Friday.

Dr Anees Kumar, 32, was taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after he injected himself with the poison, claimed officials of the Eidgah police station.

Kumar was the second man to have committed suicide in this manner. On August 8, last year trainee ward body at the hospital Muhammad Akram, 22, son of Afzal Rehman, 

Twenty-year-old Ashraf, son of Noor Khan, shots himself to death with his official pistol in the residence of his boss near Hyper Star in Defence, Phase IV situated within the jurisdiction of the Boat basin police station.  His body was shifted to the JPMC for completion of medico-legal formalities.

According to police the deceased was a private security guard but his cause of suicide could not been known.

Man, woman murdered

A man and a woman were murdered in separate incidents on Friday. 

Waris, 25, was stabbed to death by his friend, who lost his cool during a verbal dispute and attacked the man with a dragger near Sector 7-D of Surjani Town.

As the man was killed just outside his home, residents of the area rushed to the scene and took him to the Abbasi Shaeed Hospital; however, his life could not be saved. 

The killer managed to escape from the scene and is still at large. 

In another incident, Ameena, 24, wife of Noor Alam, was shot dead by unidentified people who barged into her Machor Colony residence situated in Bengali Para.

The culprits gunned down the woman and managed to flee from the spot.

Her family members took her to the Civil Hospital Karachi in a critical condition; however, she breathed her last on way to the hospital.

According to the police, the woman had married with her own consent and was living with his husband, Noor, for the last two years.
