Two killed in Lakki Marwat clash

LAKKI MARWAT: Two persons were killed and another sustained serious bullet wounds in a clash between rival groups in Sharbikhel village on Tuesday.

“The incident took place in the limits of Shaheed Haibat Ali Khan police station of Darra Pezu town which also panicked the local residents,” said police officials.

They said that a large contingent of police force rushed to the village to control situation and further loss to human lives.

They said that the rival groups exchanged firing over cutting of date trees resulting into killing of Mir Baz from one side and Iftikhar Hussain from the other group. “Mir Baz died instantly while Iftikhar Hussain succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital,” said an official.

They further said that the deceased Mir Baz’s son Ameenullah was also wounded in the firing incident and was taken to rural health centre Titterkhel.

“The bodies were later handed over to relatives after fulfilling medico legal formalities in RHC Titterkhel,” the police said, adding, separate cases have been registered against accused persons under section 302 (premeditated murder), 324 (attempted murder) and 34 (common intention) of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
