33 SIs promoted to inspector rank

PESHAWAR: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Nasir Khan Durrani on the recommendation of departmental selection committee on Monday promoted 33 sub-inspectors (SIs) to the rank of inspectors.

The committee, headed by additional IGP, had reviewed the promotion cases of sub-inspectors posted in various regions of the province. It recommended 33 sub-inspectors for promotion as inspectors and list was sent to the IGP for final approval.

The IGP in light of the recommendation of the committee promoted 33 sub-inspectors to the rank of inspectors and formally issued its notification. Those promoted include sub-inspectors Saifur Rehman, Muhammad Imran, Syed Sagheer Abbas Shah, Fazal Rahim, Mumtaz Khan and Faqir Muhammad of Dera Ismail Khan region.

Muhammad Nawab, Miraj Muhammad, Amjad Iqbal, Mukarram Shah, Emaduddin, Muhammad Ali, Kaleemullah, Muhammad Abbas and Bahramand Shah of Malakand region were promoted as well.

Those promoted from the Mardan region included Gul Khitab, Zubair Shah, Muhammad Rasan, Abdul Ghafoor, Zulfiqar Ali, Tufail Muhammad, Muhammad Munir, Sadaqat Nisar, Muhammad Arshad, Muhammad Asad Yousaf, Muhammad Zia, Muhammad Farooq and Muhammad Asif of Hazara Region and Gul Shadi Khan from Kohat and Shafiur Rehman, Muhammad Yaqoob and Khaista Wahab.
