13 terrorists killed in Malakand, Kalat operations
RAWALPINDI/WANA: Security forces and law enforcement agencies have killed nine Khwarij belonging to Indian proxy, Fitna al Khawrij and apprehended eight others in a joint Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in the Malakand district in the last five days.
Meanwhile, security forces have killed four terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy, Fitna al Hindustan in Kalat district of Balochistan.
From July 16 to 20, a joint IBO was conducted by the security forces along with police, Levies, CTD and district administration in Malakand District, on reported presence of Khwarij belonging to Indian proxy, Fitna al Khwarij, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement said.
During the conduct of operation, spread over five days, forces skillfully surrounded and effectively engaged the Khwarij location, and after intense multiple fire exchanges, nine Indian sponsored Khwarij were killed, while eight Khwarij were apprehended.
Two hideouts used by Khwarij were also busted and a large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives was recovered.
Locals of the area appreciated the operation and expressed their full support to the state’s counter terrorism efforts.
Sanitisation operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area, as the security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan, in step with the nation, are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian sponsored terrorism from the country.
Meanwhile, on July 19 and 20, security forces conducted an IBO in Kalat District of Balochistan, on reported presence of terrorists belonging to Indian proxy, Fitnatul Hindustan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement said.
During the conduct of operation, the troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, and after an intense fire exchange, four Indian sponsored terrorists were killed. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.
Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area, as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian sponsored terrorism from the country and reaffirm the nation’s unwavering resolve to bring the perpetrators of terrorism to justice, the ISPR statement said.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Sunday paid tribute to security forces for killing four Khawarij terrorists during successful operation against Fitnatul Hindustan in Kalat district. The president said, “Security forces are always determined to eradicate terrorism.
“Terrorism will be defeated at all costs with the unity of the nation,” he said adding, “The state will continue to take action against terrorism with full force.” He said the terrorists of Fitnatul Hindustan will be pursued till the end.
While praising the security forces, the prime minister said, “The entire nation stands with security forces in the war against terrorism.” The government is firm in its drive to eradicate all forms of terrorism from the country, he added.
Meanwhile, seven police personnel have mysteriously gone missing in upper South Waziristan and a search operation is underway to trace them.
According to District Police Officer Arshad Khan, the cops went missing on Saturday night. They were from Laddha and Sarwakai police stations. The security forces along with the police launched search operations to locate them.
Police officials said that three personnel. Insaaf, Abid, and Ismail went missing during a routine patrol in the jurisdiction of Laddha Police Station.
Similarly, four other personnel from Sarwakai Police Station, including Sub-Inspector Abdul Khaliq, constables Irfanullah, Habibullah, and Imran, disappeared from the Tanga Chagmali area.
The police officials confirmed that no credible information had emerged on the whereabouts of the missing personnel, nor had any militant or armed group claimed responsibility for their abduction.
