CDA auctions Rs19.56bn plots, shops in three days

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Thursday completed three-day auction of commercial plots and shops in different business areas the federal capital earning Rs19.56 billion.

“During three day’s auction, eight commercial plots and four shops were auctioned for Rs19.56 billion,” the CDA spokesman in a statement said.

The authority had offered 33 commercial plots in different categories and 13 shops in parking plazas of Blue.

On third and last day of auction, the bidding committee accepted highest offers for four shops adding Rs500.3 million to Rs19.03 billion which were fetched on first two days.

The third day’s achievements include the auction of shop number 8A in the Blue Area Parking Plaza for Rs145.7 million, shop number 10A for Rs143.2 million, shop number 12A for Rs146.7 millione and shop number 8C for Rs94.3 million.

On the second day, plot number 20 in Sector I-14 (petrol pump category) was sold for Rs1.64 billion. Plot number 1-E in Sector F-11/1 was auctioned for approximately Rs251.3 million.

On the first day, plot number 13 in Blue Area (G-8) was auctioned for around Rs7.24 billion, plot number 14 for Rs4.16 billion and plot number 12 for Rs3.60 billion.

Also on the first day, plot number 3A in Sector I-14 was auctioned for approximately Rs749.32 million, plot number 3B for Rs709.32 million and plot number 10A for Rs669.32 million.

The CDA spokesman said that the authority’s chairman personally supervised the transparent auction process.

An auction committee, headed by Member Finance and consisting of the DG Resource, DG Building Control, DG Law and other senior officers of CDA conducted the process. The CDA board would accord final approval to highest bids.
