Establishment launching Zulfi Bukhari as consensus PTI leader: Rubina
ISLAMABAD: Rubina Khan, Imran Khan’s elder sister, has alleged the establishment is pushing PTI leader Zulfi Bukhari as their candidate to lead the PTI, aiming to shape the party’s direction and consolidate its own influence within the party. However, sources close to Zulfi Bukhari have dismissed Rubina Khan’s allegations as baseless. According to media reports, she alleged that the establishment is launching Zulfi Bukhari as a consensus PTI leader and added after being absent from the scene for several months, will this deceitful man now provide a vision to the party? She criticized Bukhari’s performance as a party spokesperson and adviser, saying his statements lack substance and that he failed to effectively handle human rights cases. Khan also recounted a specific instance where Bukhari allegedly downplayed the importance of highlighting human rights violations in the UK, suggesting “there was no interest in the PTI founder in the UK.” She also criticised Zulfi Bukhari’s handling of human rights cases, citing a glaring lack of diplomatic strategy. She raised pointed questions about Bukhari’s true allegiance, implying that his loyalties may not lie with PTI, but rather with external forces.
