In the aftermath of the building collapse in the Lyari area of Karachi, which claimed the lives of at least 27 people, the relevant department needs to revisit how dangerous buildings are identified and should chalk out comprehensive plans for revamping these buildings. Tragedies like this cannot be allowed to occur again.
