During training attachment: Civil service trainees to teach children of junior military personnel

LAHORE: Beginning in 2026, officers undergoing training at the Pakistan Civil Services Academy (CSA) will engage in a formal teaching programme targeting the children of junior military personnel posted across Federal Government and Army Public Schools nationwide.

The development follows a consensus reached between Field Marshal Gen Asim Munir and Director General of CSA Farhan Aziz Khawaja during a recent institutional consultation aimed at reinforcing public service delivery through inter-sector collaboration.

The initiative, described by officials as an effort to “enhance public value,” will be incorporated into the existing three-month military attachment segment of the Common Training Programme (CTP) undertaken by civil service probationers. Officers from all core occupational groups—including the Pakistan Adminis-trative Service (PAS), Police Service of Pakistan (PSP), Foreign Service, Inland Revenue, Customs, and Office Management Group — will be required to deliver educational instruction to children of Junior Com-missioned Officers (JCOs), hawaldars, and sepoys at designated schools.

Officials confirmed that teaching duties will be coordinated under the guidance of unit commanding officers, with assignments based on school requirements and officer deployment.
