I would like to highlight a pressing issue faced by the residents of Mansoor Nagar, Sector 11 ½, Orangi Town, Karachi. The SSGC gas pipeline, which is supposed to carry natural gas, is full of water instead, resulting in no gas or low pressure for households. This issue has been persistent, causing immense inconvenience to the residents. Many people are now forced to buy expensive LPG cylinders or use electric appliances, which is not affordable for the majority of residents in our area.
This issue also poses a serious safety hazard if not addressed promptly. I urge the authorities to take immediate action to rectify this situation. The SSGC should prioritise pipeline maintenance and rehabilitation to ensure a steady gas supply.
