A high-level meeting was held at the Karachi Police Office under the chairmanship of Additional Inspector General Karachi Javed Alam Odho to review security arrangements for Muharram 1447AH.

The meeting was attended by the DIG Administration, Karachi Range DIGs, DIG traffic, religious scholars, organizers of processions and gatherings, and other senior police officers. Key issues discussed included security protocols, traffic management, road repairs, removal of encroachments, and loadshedding during Muharram. The scholars and organisers expressed satisfaction with the previous year's arrangements and shared several suggestions.

Odho listened attentively and assured them that their concerns would be addressed. He directed the officers to coordinate closely with civil institutions and resolve all outstanding issues on a priority basis.

He also ordered the development of a foolproof security plan, ensuring the safety of scholars and participants, and taking strict action against any terrorist or criminal threats. Emphasis was placed on devising alternative traffic routes for processions and ensuring effective traffic flow during the events. Concluding the meeting, Additional IG Odho thanked all participants and assured them of the police department's full cooperation during Muharram.
