BoK opens 2nd women-centric branch at SBBWU
PESHAWAR: The Bank of Khyber (BoK) has opened a second women-centric branch at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University (SBBWU), Peshawar in collaboration with the Treasury Section of the university.
A press release said the initiative has been taken to provide specialized financial services to the staff and students of the university, fostering economic growth and development.Abdullah Ghaffar, Group Head of Islamic Banking, while speaking to the audience, said that the branch offered a range of innovative products and services, including the ‘Fempower Account’ for females and the ‘Student Power Account’ for students.
He said these accounts were tailored to meet the needs of women and students, providing them with easy access to banking services and financial management tools.The branch will also offer loan facilities to support the educational and personal needs of students and staff.
It will provide internship opportunities for students, enabling them to gain practical experience and develop valuable skills in the banking sector.Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Safia Ahmed said that the launch of this branch was a testament to BoK’s commitment to supporting the financial inclusion and empowerment of women and students.
