SECP, legal education directorate ink MoU to train next generation of corporate lawyers
KARACHI: The Securities Exchange Commission of Pakistan has signed a memorandum of understanding with the country’s legal education authority to strengthen collaboration and improve legal training in corporate and financial law.
The SECP and the Directorate of Legal Education (DLE) entered into the agreement to enhance the capabilities of legal professionals and provide targeted training on corporate, company and insurance law to law students, academics, lawyers and prosecutors.
The signing ceremony was attended by Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar, SECP Chairperson Akif Saeed, and SECP Commissioners Zeeshan Rehman Khattak, Muzzafar Ahmed Mirza and Mujtaba Ahmad Lodhi. Executive Director Mubasher Saeed Saddozai and DLE Director Barrister Osama Malik also participated, along with senior representatives from the Supreme Court Bar Association.
