Spoiled meat seized as SFA raids Hyderabad restaurant

HYDERABAD: The Sindh Food Authority (SFA) conducted a surprise raid on an eatery located at Liberty Chowk, Hyderabad, where if found a refrigerator filled with spoiled and foul-smelling meat in extremely unhygienic conditions.

The raid was carried out under the directives of SFA Director General Asif Jan Siddiqui and Sindh Minister for Food Jabbar Ahmed Khan. It was led by SFA Deputy Director Fida Hussain Khokhar.

During the inspection, the food authority found substandard and decomposed meat, which was immediately discarded on the spot to prevent it from reaching consumers. A fine of Rs100,000 was imposed on the eatery’s owner for violating food safety regulations. According to the SFA’s Hyderabad team, such operations would be actively continued to ensure the provision of safe and healthy food to the citizens of Hyderabad.
