Court seeks police response over threats to ANP leader
PESHAWAR: A local court here on Monday sought a response from the police on an application filed by Awami National Party (ANP) leader Daniyal Bilour and another citizen, who claimed that they had been receiving threatening phone calls.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Ismatullah Wazir issued the notice and adjourned further hearing until June 13.During the proceedings, the court was informed that Daniyal Bilour, a member of the Bilour family in Peshawar, had been receiving threatening phone calls from unidentified numbers.
The court was informed that unidentified assailants had opened fire on Bilour’s residence in Dunga Gali and the CCTV footage of the incident had been submitted to the court, showing the damage caused to the property as a result of the gunfire.
