Education investment

Pakistan's education sector is in crisis. Thousands of children face many problems, such as a lack of funding, poor infrastructure, and unqualified teachers. According to Unesco, over 22.8 million children are out of school. Public spending on education remains below two per cent of GDP, far short of the UN-recommended four-to-six per cent, leading to poor infrastructure and under-resourced schools. To improve the system, the government must invest more in education, ensure proper teacher training and upgrade school infrastructure. Additionally, merit-based scholarships should be expended to support talented students from low-income families.
