MD SAP says digital governance needs clear roadmap
KARACHI: The public sector in Pakistan is beginning to embrace digital transformation, but without a structured roadmap and long-term policies, the pace will remain fragmented, said Managing Director of SAP Pakistan Saquib Ahmad.
In a press release on Thursday, Ahmad emphasised that government organisations across Pakistan are increasingly adopting ERP systems, cloud computing and AI-driven analytics to enhance transparency, improve service delivery and optimise internal operations. “We are seeing a growing appetite for digital tools across ministries, regulators and public service entities. But to scale impact and ensure sustainability, there must be continuity in digital policy and investment,” he added.
Ahmad pointed to Martin Dow’s digital journey as a benchmark for what’s possible when organisations commit to a comprehensive transformation agenda. As one of Pakistan’s leading pharmaceutical companies and the sixth-largest in the country, Martin Dow has successfully implemented SAP solutions to centralise operations, enable real-time decision-making, and accelerate growth across international markets.
