PPP leaders, legal fraternity pay last respects to Kamal Azfar
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, senior leaders and workers of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), and notables from the legal fraternity and other walks of life attended the funeral of former Sindh governor Kamaluddin Azfar on Wednesday.
Azfar breathed his last on Monday after a prolonged illness. His funeral prayer was held at the mosque of Sufi saint Abdullah Shah Ghazi’s shrine in Clifton.
The notables who attended the funeral included former Sindh CM Syed Qaim Ali Shah, senior PPP leader Syed Khursheed Shah, PPP MPA Yousuf Baloch, Habibuddin Junaidi, Khawaja Naveed, Asad Ali Shah and Zafar Abbas.
An ambulance of the Sindh Health Department had brought Azfar’s body to the shrine. A large number of government servants, retired judges, senior lawyers, and family members of the deceased attended the funeral. Azfar was laid to rest on the premises of the shrine.
