IMC teachers demand early meeting on higher time scale
Islamabad : Teachers serving in Islamabad model colleges (IMC) have called for an urgent meeting to consider their cases for Higher Time Scale (HTS), expressing frustration over what they describe as discriminatory treatment by authorities.
They said they had already completed the required length of service in their respective grades and fully qualify for HTS.
However, unlike their counterparts in the Federal Government (F.G.) Colleges who were granted HTS effective April 15 following a meeting in April, the teachers of model colleges have not been considered at all, despite being equally eligible.
“This is sheer discrimination with the teachers of model colleges,” said a teacher. An assistant headmistress at Islamabad Model College for Girls, I-8/4, urged the secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training to immediately convene a meeting.
