Punjab CM’s project‘: Rs130m medicines delivered to 60,000 patients in six months’

LAHORE:Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) Lahore delivered medicines worth Rs130 million to more than 60,000 heart patients during the past six months under Punjab Chief Minister’s project for home delivery of medicines.
Punjab Institute of Cardiology Medical Superintendent Dr Amir Rafique Butt, on Friday, informed that the patients are being provided with quality medicines free of cost for treatment for three months. Medicines are being dispatched to an average of 800 patients daily at their doorstep. The cost of a parcel of medicines is Rs2,200, he revealed. He said that a special post office has also been set up at Punjab Institute of Cardiology to deliver medicines to patients' homes.
