Muhammad Jamil, parliamentary leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party in the Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC), has commended the measures taken by Umar Farooq Malik, the new chief executive officer (CEO) of the CBC, expressing optimism that Malik’s leadership will herald a new chapter in addressing the longstanding civic issues faced by local residents.

“We are hopeful that Malik’s proactive approach will lead to the resolution of the persistent problems that have long afflicted the residents of the CBC, particularly those in Ward 3,” said Jamil while speaking to constituents in his ward.

He said that the establishment of emergency response teams, tasked with addressing urgent municipal and infrastructure-related concerns promptly, is a commendable initiative by the CBC. Jamil emphasized that elected representatives and the local community are prepared to work collaboratively with the CBC administration to ensure substantive improvements in the area.

Highlighting some of the critical challenges facing his constituency, Jamil cited issues such as chronic water shortages, illegal encroachments, and the deteriorating state of civic infrastructure.

“These are not insurmountable challenges if we approach them with honesty and commitment. I am confident that under Malik’s leadership, we will witness tangible progress on these issues in the near future,” he added.
