Punjab announces summer vacation from 28th
Department has also adjusted school timings to ensure safety and well-being of students and teachers
LAHORE: The School Education Department (SED) Punjab has announced the summer vacation for schools across the province, starting from May 28, 2025.
In response to the extreme heat wave conditions, the department has also adjusted school timings to ensure the safety and well-being of students and teachers. As per the notification, all schools, both public and private, in Punjab will remain closed from May 28, 2025, to August 14, 2025, for the summer vacation. Afternoon schools will also observe the closure from May 21 (today), 2025, to August 14, 2025. Schools are scheduled to reopen on August 15, 2025. To mitigate the impact of the ongoing heat wave, the SED has revised the school timings. For students, the new timings are from 07:30 am to 11:30 am, Monday to Friday.
